Akkodis is seeking a Document Control Specialist for a contract role in Santa Clarita, CA (Onsite). This role will support engineering and quality teams by managing and maintaining controlled documents within a PLM system in a regulated medical device environment. To be considered, candidates should have strong experience in document control, change management, and PLM systems, along with a solid understanding of medical device quality standards. Pay Range: $40/hr. – $45/hr. on W2 (The pay rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.) Document Control Specialist responsibilities include: Manage and maintain engineering and quality documents within PLM systems Support design and document change control activities (CO/CR/ECO) Create, update, review, route, and archive documents per defined procedures Track document status, approvals, revisions, and effective dates Ensure compliance with medical device quality management systems Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams Review documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to standards Support audits by providing required documentation and records Prepare reports and dashboards related to document control activities Ensure timely closure of documentation tasks based on project timelines Required Skills & Experience: 6–8 years of experience in document control or related roles Experience with PLM systems (Windchill, Agile, or similar) Strong understanding of change control processes (CO, CR, ECO) Experience in medical device or regulated industry Knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems Strong documentation, organization, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting audits and compliance activities Familiarity with engineering documentation and product lifecycle processes If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
