About the Role

The Company is seeking a DVP, Procurement to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a procurement strategy that meets the sourcing needs of the division. This includes both standardized and customized approaches, with a focus on cost reduction through strategic procurement, particularly with an international emphasis. The role involves directing, overseeing, and coordinating the division's purchasing functions, as well as maintaining a strong working relationship with the global sourcing organization. The DVP will also be involved in sourcing commodities from low-cost regions, monitoring and planning for supplier shortages, and processing engineering changes and expedited orders as necessary.

Applicants for the DVP, Procurement position at the company should have a B.S. in Inventory Management/Business, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, and purchasing. Proficiency in PC and a working understanding of information systems is required. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in purchasing a variety of product families, including electronic components, fabricated items, and MRO items. Experience with Internet buying, flow manufacturing, or Navision or SAP systems is beneficial. The role also requires proficiency in manufacturing routings, bill of materials, and drawings, as well as strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of personalities. The position involves overnight and international travel.
