Job Description: The MCT Division is seeking an experienced DVP, Procurement to join the team. This role will report to MCT's VP/GM and will be based in the greater Chicago area.

Responsibilities:

Develop a procurement strategy that is both standardized and customized to serve the sourcing needs of Ametek’s MCT division.

Oversee and coordinate AMETEK’s MCT Division purchasing functions. Develop and implement policies related to procurement of goods and services, focusing on cost reduction through strategic procurement with an international focus.

Maintain strong working relationships with AMETEK’s global sourcing organization.

Source commodities from low-cost regions.

Monitor and plan coverage for supplier shortages, WIP shortages, and process engineering changes; expedite orders as needed.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Inventory Management/Business, with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, and purchasing.

Proficiency in PC and a working understanding of information systems.

Experience purchasing electronic components, fabricated items, and MRO items.

Experience with Internet Buying, Flow Manufacturing, Navision, or SAP systems is beneficial.

Additional certifications in planning or purchasing are a plus.

Understanding of manufacturing routings, bill of materials, and drawings.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personalities.

Willingness to travel overnight and internationally.

Compensation: Employee Type: Salaried

Salary Range: $175,000 - $200,000+
