This role is about more than traditional HR. Reporting to our newly appointed Chief Operations Officer (COO), this position is a senior leadership role embedded in operations that is focused on developing strategy to drive key initiatives tied to four (4) elements of shared responsibility and company culture at Cambridge Air Solutions. Success in this newly defined role will be measured by cultural impact, leadership development, increased employee engagement, improved team member experience, effective people operations, and a highly engaged people operations team. ABOUT THE ROLE OWN CULTURAL STRATEGY DEPLOYMENT – In partnership with companywide leadership, deploy strategies to drive initiatives across four (4) areas of shared responsibility and company culture at Cambridge Air Solutions, including: safety, quality, team leadership and continuous improvement. Break complex initiatives into smaller sprints to foster adaptability and faster feedback loops. Utilize cultural diagnostics, turn insights into measurable change initiatives, collaborate on project prioritization, track deployment initiatives, measure impact, and repeat. INTEGRATE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT INTO PEOPLE SYSTEMS – Embed continuous improvement into all aspects of traditional HR, including yet not limited to recruiting, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and succession planning. Leverage agile methodologies to identify, iterate and make meaningful improvements to people systems, technology, and team member experience. Support the shift from annual reviews to continuous performance check-in’s, feedback loops, and coaching conversations. Lead the ongoing evaluation of skill matrices and career pathways. Utilize real-time data to drive decision making. BUILD A PEOPLE-CENTRIC CULTURE THROUGH EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE – Lead ongoing efforts to develop an engaged workplace culture, truly centered on team member experience. Establish a routine presence within the plant and on the work floor. Foster a leadership culture that empowers workplace improvements and team collaboration. Support leadership development and relationship building, facilitate structured feedback loops, and build trust across hourly and salaried teams through transparency, visibility, active listening and responsiveness. LEAD AN ADAPTIVE PEOPLE OPERATIONS TEAM – Lead a small yet nimble HR team in executing compliant and people-first operations. Lead and improve all talent system processes, including oversight for recruiting, training, career planning, feedback, compensation, benefits, employee relations and HRIS systems. Coach HR team to analyze trends and external benchmarking to strengthen internal people practices. Monitor all evolving legal and regulatory compliance. Utilize metrics on turnover, engagement, time-to-fill and leadership pipeline strength to guide decisions and to build a more agile HR framework. IS THIS A MATCH FOR YOU? You have gained 5-7+ years of progressive HR experience, including prior know-how and or familiarity embedding lean and continuous improvement principals into people and leadership systems. You bring hands-on experience in culture change initiatives, in coaching senior leaders, in facilitating conversations with key executives, and in developing behavioral competencies. You are adept at inspiring, motivating, managing conflict, navigating change, and fostering a healthy organizational culture rooted in unconditional love and high expectations. You understand strategies related to developing leaders, team-based environments, forward thinking mindsets and strategic goal setting. You embrace a team-based approach to problem solving, issue resolution and coaching that aligns with company values. You understand team and leadership accountabilities in environmental health and safety systems, including policies, regulatory compliance and risk mitigation strategies. You demonstrate a personal commitment to safety and bring experience championing preventative and corrective actions and/or working with a safety committee. You possess a solid business acumen and tech-savvy. You bring a working knowledge people operations technology, including tech stacks that span recruitment, LMS, performance management, payroll, and benefits. Familiarity with ERP and CRM tech a plus. Healthy appetite for AI is required. Four-year college degree in HR, OD, business or related field is required. MBA, advanced degree, SHRM-SCP, SPHR or other senior HR certifications a plus. TWI (Training Within Industry) certification helpful yet not required. WHY JOIN US?
