POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Marketing will lead our efforts to elevate our brand presence and drive customer engagement within the cruise industry, focusing on the Great Lakes and Canadian maritime regions. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives that enhance brand awareness, attract new customers, and promote our unique cruise experiences.








ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve business objectives, including revenue growth, brand recognition, and customer acquisition.
  • Provide clear marketing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure alignment with company goals and performance targets.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and finance departments to integrate marketing plans with overall business strategies.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, including digital marketing, social media, email marketing, and traditional advertising.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify consumer trends, competitive landscape, and new market opportunities.
  • Manage the marketing budget effectively, monitor ROI, and optimize spending to maximize results.
  • Drive the development of compelling brand messaging, creative content, and promotional materials that resonate with target audiences.
  • Represent the company at industry events and media engagements to enhance industry visibility and build strategic partnerships.
  • Lead with a clear vision that energizes and inspires
  • Manage by setting priorities, removing obstacles, and fostering communication
  • Hold people Accountable with clear expectations and consistent follow-through
  • Other projects or duties as requested.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles within the travel, hospitality, or cruise industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing high-performing marketing teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and the ability to innovate marketing strategies that differentiate the brand.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing platforms, analytics tools, and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Experience:

  • At least 7 Years of experience in a similar role.
  • Travel/tourism, hospitality and/or cruise industry experience required.
