This role involves managing the estimation process for various projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cost assessments, and collaborating with other departments to support project planning and execution. Additionally, the individual will also be responsible for reviewing and supporting change orders from construction.Role Responsibilities:Lead and manage a team of 6-8 estimators, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunitiesOversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labor, and equipmentEnsure that all estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with project requirements and company standardsCollaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure that estimates are based on the most current dataReview and analyze historical data and trends to improve the accuracy and reliability of future estimatesDevelop and implement standardized estimation processes and tools to enhance efficiency and consistencyMonitor and report on the performance of the estimation team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as neededStay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in estimation techniques and toolsFoster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication within the estimation team and with other departmentsJob Requirements and Experiences:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum 15 years of experience in construction estimation, with at least 5 years in a leadership roleStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standardsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detailProficiency in estimation software and toolsStrong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholdersAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesPay range: The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $160,000 - $240,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
