Job Title: Director of Business Development Location: United States (Remote)
Specific Accountabilities RCM is hiring a Director of Business Development responsible to develop and foster exceptional relationships with existing and prospective clients. Responsibilities include Business Development activities such as arranging client meetings, following up on sales leads, leading proposal preparation, driving the sales cycle through contract award and following up with the client on project execution.
The roles key function is to develop and grow RCM Energy Services footprint and meet revenue attainment targets and sales objectives. This requires a high level of professionalism and interfacing closely with General Managers to develop winning strategies that result in profitable growth for RCM in core markets.
Ability to review RFPs and project requirements in order to validate RCM's ability to be a successful candidate for proposals will be key. This includes working closely with management within RCM Energy Services to prepare proposals for RFPs, coordinate with Procurement and the various Energy Services offices, prepare project and proposal schedules, project risk registry, cash flow and contingency.
In addition, the Director of Business Development will assist Corporate Operations Leadership in developing Business Planning and SWOT analysis to drive strategic growth and market area expansion for RCM to enter new markets and develop new revenue streams.
Establishing a winning strategy with respective General Managers to increase RCM's market share will be critical to success in this position. Additional responsibilities include review of project technical design requirements, customer requirements, performance standards, and communicating project specifications to team.
Selection Criteria Self-starter and team player that demonstrates alignment with the organizational values of commitment, integrity, respect and teamwork Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and proved ability to interact well at all levels of the internal and client organizations Energy sector experience and network of connections Demonstrated acumen in business development Demonstrated ability to lead and manage proposal team Strong experience in selling to clients is an asset Technical background with over 8 years of experience selling to the Energy Service market or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Skills & Knowledge: Demonstrated ability to act in management positions with little guidance Results driven individual who has strong desire for success and ability for further career advancement Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and adjust quickly to changing priorities Demonstrated ability to persist in driving issues and actions to closure. 8 years of related Business Development experience or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Education Engineering Degree preferred or Technical or Business Degree coupled with successful experience in Business Development in marketing and selling complex engineering and construction projects to the Transmission and Distribution Industry.
