Wabash Center comes from humble beginnings. The origin of the organization can be traced to a core group of families with children who had special needs. Today, Wabash Center has grown into a comprehensive service provider for those with disabilities or special needs that is leading the way to supporting individuals in their pursuit of quality of life for them and their families.

Our Youth Services Direct Support Professional assists children and young adults with disabilities and special needs in a class room setting and out in the community. You will provide assistance with activities and games, meal prep or snack, social engagement with peers, daily living skills, toileting and much more.
Here is what you can do for Wabash Center:
- Have an interest in and empathy for persons with disabilities
- Help individuals with their IEP, PCISP, and/or ISP goals and objectives
- Assist those we serve with their finances, shopping and bill paying and other daily requirements as needed
- Provide assistance to those we serve for their medical needs, including medication administration, and timely reporting of any medical issues/concerns
- Ensure community activities are occurring as planned by providing transportation and care to those we serve for the various activities

Schedule: Part Time
- 4 hour shift; from 2pm-6pm
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED preferred.
- Experience in direct support service and/or working with intellectual disabilities preferred.
- Must provide own transportation, have a valid driver's license, registration and proof of insurance and acceptable driving record.
