Position Overview As a Dining Room Server at Bar Louie, your primary focus will be providing exceptional service to our guests. You possess a genuine hospitality spirit and care deeply for people. Your approach is fun, yet professional. You exude confidence, and we empower you to express your unique personality. Rather than following a script, you engage with guests based on their cues, whether they are in a hurry, seeking privacy, or wanting an interactive experience. Availability for things like “immediate greets,” “menu knowledge,” and “hands in/hands out” are not just terms; they signify the skilled framework of an outstanding server. Your work ethic shines through pride in your tasks – you never take shortcuts. By providing memorable experiences, you cultivate guest loyalty that extends beyond Bar Louie to you personally. Position Responsibilities Embark on each shift embodying Bar Louie’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Exhibit a stringent commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. Fully immerse yourself in understanding the menu to assist guests in discovering favorites. Safeguard our guests by accurately fulfilling their orders and requests. Practice responsible alcohol service; consult your Manager as necessary. Ensure the accurate recording and charging of all items to guests. Complete all transactions with transparency and integrity. Support fellow Team Members by running food, bussing tables, and greeting guests. Efficiently manage opening and closing duties for each shift. Steer work tasks and responsibilities effectively while managing side work. Adhere to all policies communicated by your Manager or the Company. Check your schedule regularly to provide accurate availability and ensure consistent attendance. Skills and Abilities Strong communication skills with both guests and team members. Ability to memorize and articulate menu details. Capable of safely handling and transporting dishware and glassware. Proficient in placing orders and managing payments. Adept at multitasking and prioritizing effectively. Education and Training 1-2 years serving experience preferred. Hospitality/Customer Experience required. Basic Physical Requirements When working in a dining setting, Team Members must fulfill the location's duties. These may include: lifting up to 10 pounds constantly and up to 50 pounds as required, lifting from the floor to shoulder level, twisting and reaching frequently, safely handling objects, enduring varied temperature conditions, standing and walking for prolonged periods, and frequent hand washing and sanitation.
