Job Description:
We are currently looking for a Dietary Aide/Patient Care Assistant to join our Post-Surgical Unit & Dietary team.
The Dietary Aid/Patient Care Assistant will support our team by being responsible for the following:
Ensure that all trays are delivered in a timely and consistent manner.
Ensure that patients recovers correct menu according to their diet orders.
Assist patients with activities of daily living, provide basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the unit.
Assist patient and families with ordering meals.
Ensure that every patients does receive a menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Ensure that all patients’ menus have allergies written on them.
Ensure that all dirty trays are picked up in a timely and consistent manner.
Refill and Patient water pitchers.
Clean refrigerator every shift (wipe down with cleaner obtained from kitchen and ensure that no patient/family food items are stored in refrigerator without a proper label). Communicate with PCT’s for which dinner menus are collected are turned into kitchen before leaving shift
Required Skills:

High school student or graduate or equivalent.
Previous clinical experience preferred
Current certification in CPR
Possess the ability to follow established cleaning methods in performing daily tasks.
Must be able to keep all equipment in good working condition.
