As a Fleet Maintenance Technician , you’ll get hands-on training and experience with Diesel and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles while working alongside seasoned professionals who will help you grow your skills. What You’ll Do: Work under the guidance of shop leadership and senior mechanics to inspect and maintain critical vehicle systems including brakes, engines, emissions, steering, hydraulics, and more. Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake service. Participate in training and development programs to advance your technical knowledge and career. Test drive trucks to identify and diagnose performance issues. Assist with DOT, PM, brake, and safety inspections to ensure our fleet remains “road ready” . Keep detailed work orders and manage basic administrative tasks. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace at all times. What We’re Looking For: 1+ years of entry-level experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field. Willingness to learn advanced diagnostic and repair skills . Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems and familiarity with DOT, OSHA, and other regulations. Ability to communicate clearly with team members, customers, and vendors. Computer literacy – experience with diagnostic software is a plus. ASE certifications are a bonus. Why GFL? Competitive pay and opportunities for overtime.
