About the job: We are a premier maintenance and repair facility specializing in Kenworth, Freightliner, and Volvo semi-trucks, as well as dry van trailers. We are committed to providing top-tier service, ensuring our fleet operates safely and efficiently. We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team and help keep our trucks and trailers in peak condition. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose, repair, and maintain Kenworth, Freightliner, and Volvo semi-trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and emissions. Perform preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. Troubleshoot and repair DEF systems, EGR, turbochargers, and aftertreatment systems (DPF/DOC cleaning and replacements). Conduct repairs on dry van trailers, including brakes, suspension, doors, flooring, and electrical wiring. Inspect, diagnose, and replace air brake components, wheel seals, bearings, and axles. Perform electrical and diagnostic troubleshooting using tools like OEM software (Cummins Insite, Paccar Davie, Volvo Tech Tool, etc.). Complete DOT inspections and ensure all repairs meet safety and regulatory standards. Weld and fabricate minor trailer/frame repairs when needed. Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used. Adhere to company safety protocols and industry best practices. Qualifications & Skills: Experience: Preferred 2+ years of hands-on experience as a diesel mechanic, preferably working on Kenworth, Freightliner, and Volvo trucks. Education/Certifications: Diesel mechanic certification or technical school training is preferred but not required. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of Class 8 diesel trucks and dry van trailers. Tools: Ability to operate diagnostic software and mechanical tools effectively. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in various weather conditions, and stand for extended periods. License: A Valid driver’s license is required; CDL is a plus.
