Our Digital Technology Services team is seeking a skilled professional to provide desktop support and technical expertise for Deaconess Health System users. This position is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining accurate asset inventories, ensuring timely resolution of service requests, and adhering to change management processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a healthcare environment.
Job Overview Provide technical support for IT hardware and installed applications, including troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and problem resolution. Maintain and improve deployment processes for IT-leased hardware. Address maintenance and system upgrade requirements as needed. Work independently and to established standards, documenting all efforts. Maintain accurate asset tracking inventory and utilize Help Desk tracking software. Adhere to change management procedures for system updates. Develop Subject Matter Expert (SME) capabilities for assigned applications or technologies. Monitor application performance, optimize operation, and coordinate vendor support. Assist in improving Help Desk productivity and customer satisfaction ratings. Respond to and resolve Service Desk calls and service tickets in a timely and professional manner. What You Will Need Education: Associate degree in Computer Information Services, Computer Science, or related field required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant desktop support experience. Desktop Support in a healthcare environment is preferred. Technical Skills: Desktop and laptop hardware troubleshooting and repair Desktop operating system installation and configuration Backup software and recovery processes Mobile device, handheld, and PDA configuration and troubleshooting Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Help Desk software tools Soft Skills: Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
