Your Role as a Dental Hygienist Welcome patients with warmth and ensure they feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visit Prepare and set up treatment rooms for hygiene procedures Update patients' health history and educate them on proper oral hygiene techniques Perform scaling, root planing, fluoride treatments, and other preventive care. Identify periodontal and restorative needs and communicate them effectively with the dentist Capture and interpret digital x-rays Conduct head, neck, and oral cancer screenings Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant environment Schedule follow-up appointments and ensure seamless patient experiences
What We’re Looking For Education: Associate degree or higher from an ADA-accredited dental hygiene program Licenses: Valid CT hygiene license and CPR certification Experience: 1+ years of dental experience preferred, but new graduates are warmly welcomed! Skills: Strong communication, organizational abilities, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care Certifications: Certification in anesthesia (preferred)
