Job Description
Shift: 1st shift
Days of Work: Monday – Friday
Work Hours: 8:00am to 5:00 pm
Work Location : On-site (North Mankato, MN)
Starting Salary : $81,147 to $113,606 Annually
Pay Frequency: Bi-Weekly

Position Objective:
Coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, and advertising, for organization by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Position is responsible for the execution of procurement activities associated with government contracting
Ensure compliance to US laws and regulations in all activities and serve as Procurement SME
Prepare solicitations, evaluation of quotes, and prepare award documents
In coordination with Contracts Manager, review the purchase description and supporting technical documentation to ensure proper clause selection and develop any unique terms and conditions for the solicitation and subsequent purchase or delivery order
Perform price analysis to include the pricing of non-standard technical elements for use in business case review
In coordination with Contracts Manager, prepare contract modifications, identify the circumstances prohibiting modification and apply procedures for execution modifications in accordance with existing regulations and sound judgement
Perform pre-award and post-award actions, i.e.: FAR& DFAR flow downs, Small Business Plans, TINA analysis, etc.
Knowledge of Federal and DOD procurement and acquisition laws, regulations and policies
Skills in performing pre-award and post-award functions to include principles, policies, regulations, practices and procedures
Use of Procurement systems (ERP, Excel, Word) to acquire, use and maintain accurate records
Perform post-award administrative functions on purchase orders to suppliers
Demonstrated strong analytical problem solving and multitasking skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced constantly changing environment
Exhibit excellent judgement, decision and discretion skills
Demonstrated ability to work professionally with both external and internal customers
Provide backup function coverage as defined by department manager
Additional duties assigned by department manager as required by business needs
Experience/Skills:
Experience in Government Contracting Procurement strongly desired
4 Years of Experience in purchasing duties required
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Must be a US Citizen
Oracle (ERP) experience is desired
Education:
BS degree in Business or equivalent and or experience in government contracting
