JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our team in Cincinnati. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions using Power BI. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data modeling, SQL, and dashboard/report design, and thrive in a collaborative, analytical environment.

REQUIREMENTS

Power BI: 3–4 years of experience (data modeling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard development) SQL: 3–5 years of hands-on experience (querying, transformation, optimization) Tableau: Basic knowledge or exposure Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities Excellent communication skills and ability to lead meetings

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Management & Development Design and implement data models within Power BI Create dynamic and visually compelling dashboards and reports Connect to diverse data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Azure, Excel, flat files) Data Analysis & Visualization Analyze large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights Use DAX and Power Query to build calculated fields, measures, and KPIs Optimize reports for performance and usability Collaboration & Deployment Translate business requirements into technical solutions Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams Ensure adherence to data governance, compliance, and security standards Document technical specifications, data flows, and report definitions

Support & Maintenance Provide ongoing support for BI solutions Troubleshoot performance or data accuracy issues Stay up to date on Power BI updates and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and dimensional modeling Proficient in SDLC methodologies and project/release management processes Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
