Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative will manage both domestic and international customer orders, ensuring accurate and timely processing using SAP and PeopleSoft. This role requires effective coordination with internal teams and logistics partners, high attention to detail, and a customer-focused approach to ensure seamless order fulfillment and resolution of customer inquiries.
Job Responsibilities: Execute error-free order transactions for assigned customers (domestic & international) Accurately enter and validate customer orders in PeopleSoft and SAP systems Manage logistics components for export and offshore-sourced orders using Origin Manager Create shipment templates and bookings by gathering necessary shipment data Maintain and update customer profiles and buying agreements in COF and Corporate PeopleSoft Create and maintain ePOs for third-party vendors and ensure proper approval Review and approve Corning invoices for accuracy Ensure customs compliance for shipments, including stamping and documentation Issue and manage customer credits/rebates via RMA system Respond to customer inquiries within 24 hours regarding orders, fiber data delivery (FDD), and product information Build knowledge to support RFQ generation and technical product recommendations Track and follow up on shipments to ensure timely delivery and take corrective actions if needed Support sales teams with reports and analytics as required Collaborate with internal teams (Shipping, QA, IT, Finance, etc.) to resolve customer issues and discrepancies Participate in process improvement projects and business teams Required Skills: Exceptional attention to detail 2+ years, manager has strong preference for candidates with 2+ years of experience in Customer Service/ Corporate environment. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Customer-focused with solid problem-solving and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, and SharePoint Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills Preferred Skills: Experience with Optical Fiber’s PeopleSoft and SAP systems Knowledge of order fulfillment and Corning corporate processes Ability to support and lead process improvements Strong Excel skills Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
