We are looking for a dedicated and highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to enhance our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will deliver essential respiratory care to patients facing severe breathing issues or life-threatening conditions, applying advanced therapies to ensure they receive the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Thoroughly assess, treat, and monitor patients with acute or chronic respiratory issues in a high-intensity ICU setting.
Initiate, manage, and adjust mechanical ventilation and other life-support systems for critically ill patients.
Administer prescribed aerosol medications, oxygen therapy, and various respiratory treatments with precision.
Conduct diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function testing to evaluate pulmonary health.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to customize and implement comprehensive care plans.
Act swiftly in emergency situations, including rapid response or code blue events, to deliver vital airway management and support.
Ensure meticulous documentation of patient records, treatments, and progress in alignment with hospital policies.
Provide education for patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment usage during the transition out of the ICU.
