You will have primary responsibility for everything that happens in the cases assigned to you, including:Conducting evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trialsMeeting with clients to discuss discovery and negotiate pleasCommunicating with prosecutors, judges, and court representativesParticipating in docket calls in state and municipal courtsPerforming legal investigations and preparing documentsHandling consultations with leads and assisting in signing them upAttending legal proceedings, carrying out legal analysis, and providing legal advice with the help of experienced lawyersCollaborating with clients and colleagues to reach resolution of casesAnalyzing disputes in legal issues, counseling clients on solutions, and negotiating on behalf of clientsManaging case files by ensuring that the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staffYou will report to a Supervising Attorney, who will mentor you and help you with things that are new to you. And you will work closely with the Client Care Team to make sure clients are fully informed about the status of their case at all times. We have staff, systems, and processes in place to make our attorneys as efficient as possible. Because we represent all of our clients on a flat-fee basis, we want our attorneys doing only work that truly requires a bar card.Qualifications:The ideal person to fill this role will be an organized, responsible self-starter with integrity and a positive attitude. The applicant should be eager to learn and motivated to obtain the best possible outcomes for clients.
