Position: Cost Manager / Estimator Turner & Townsend seeks a motivated Cost Manager / Estimator for our San Francisco Bay area team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career, work with prestigious clients, and manage diverse construction projects, including commercial, healthcare, and mission-critical facilities. Responsibilities Advise clients on strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess proposals, bids, and bid leveling documents, make final recommendations, chair bid interviews, and oversee the appointment process. Manage estimating services for full projects, develop estimates related to construction, fees, and costs, review junior team estimations, present to clients, provide value engineering and risk assessments, and validate costs with vendors. Oversee cost reporting, establish schedules, review and present cost forecasts, develop risk registers, and host meetings with project teams and vendors. Control costs by reviewing payment applications, liaising on contractor entitlements, reviewing change requests, and managing contractual disputes. Monitor invoicing processes and benchmark project performance. Manage final accounting, post-contract audits, and project closeouts. Conduct post-contract reviews and develop lessons learned documentation and training materials. Develop procedures for project handover. Utilize bid analysis sheets, change control forms, and estimating software in all duties. Adhere to SOX controls where applicable. Qualifications Available to work onsite in San Francisco three days a week. Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related technical field. Technical experience in all cost management areas: pre-contract, post-contract, and final accounts. Experience advising on value management, engineering, and lifecycle costing. Proven large-scale cost estimating experience. Knowledge of procurement methods and contract types. Track record managing large projects at the program level. Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar software. Organizational skills, multitasking ability, and team orientation. Ability to build strong client and team relationships. Additional Information The annual salary range is $110K-$140K, based on experience and qualifications. This range reflects base salary only and may vary depending on the candidate.
