We are seeking a Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will draw on experience to make financial decisions based on collecting and analyzing cost accounting data. Salary: $75k-$90k

Responsibilities:

Analyze cost structures and pricing strategies to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved profitability. Prepare standard cost reports and product cost analyses. Monitor inventory levels and assess cost variances. Assist in budgeting and forecasting by collaborating with cross-functional teams. Record journal entries and ensure proper allocation of direct labor, overhead and manufacturing-related costs. Support internal audits and maintain compliance with financial regulations and policies. Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role. Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software (Microsoft Dynamics, Jet Reports, Excel). Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Excellent analytical thinking and decision-making abilities. Clear written and verbal communication skills for presenting financial data to stakeholders. CPA or CMA preferred. Strong mathematical and statistical aptitude. Experience working with large datasets and performing in-depth financial analysis.
