Assists with completion of other department projects as requested.Job ResponsibilitiesPerform calculations, posting of journal entries, analysis, and reporting for accounting transactions within various real estate joint venture companies. Prepare and maintain account reconciliations across multiple companies.Assist with research and responses to inquiries from customers, suppliers, and others.Compile accurate quarterly GAAP-compliant financial statements, including statement of cash flows, for multiple real estate joint venture companies. Create and maintain relevant work papers and other documentation to support financial statements.Prepare and distribute customer invoices, maintaining current customer demographics and details.Research and respond to inquiries from other Nelnet departments or teams.Apply results of research to the real estate joint venture companies’ operations and/or specific transactions.Assist with various accounting projects and report on performance.Document, report and follow through on recommendations from projects.Meet internal and external financial reporting deadlines and manage expectations through timely updates.Work with external organizations and internal departments on project initiatives and various accounting issues.**Pay Range for this role is - $55,000 - $60,000#INDFinanceEDUCATION:4-year degree in accountingEXPERIENCE:1+ years accounting experienceCOMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:Proficient skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
