About the Role: The Content Creator, Copywriter & Editor plays a key role in telling the story of TEAMs global impact through compelling, Christ-centered content. This position focuses on writing and editing material that engages, inspires, and mobilizes TEAMs audience across multiple platforms, including email, newsletters, blogs, social media, fundraising campaigns, and promotional materials. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with a heart for missions, a passion for excellence in communication, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Research, write, and edit clear, concise and compelling content for print and digital communications, including: Missionary stories, blogs, and articles Email campaigns and newsletters Social media captions and posts Fundraising and donor communication materials Website and landing page copy Promotional and ministry-related content
Provide editorial guidance to contributing writers, including TEAM staff, leadership, and global workers. Uphold and drive TEAMs style guide, voice, and editorial standards for tone, clarity, grammar, and theological integrity. Cultivate relationships with global workers and conduct interviews to gather impactful stories, quotes, and testimonies. Adapt theological and cross-cultural content into accessible, audience-appropriate formats. Collaborate with designers, videographers, and marketing team members to align content with TEAMs brand and visual identity. Engage with TEAMs audience on social media to foster meaningful interactions and maintain consistent messaging. Manage content in TEAMs website and content management system (WordPress). Act as a gatekeeper of oral and written communications and contribute to strategic communication planning. Participate actively in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, campaign execution, and prayer meetings. Qualifications of the Role: A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and alignment with TEAMs Statement of Faith and mission. Bachelors degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Writing, English, or a related field preferred. 2+ years of professional writing, editing, or content creation experience (nonprofit or missions context preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail. Experience conducting interviews, researching topics, and transforming complex information into engaging narratives. Understanding of branding and developing an organizational voice. Knowledge of global missions and sensitivity to cross-cultural contexts. MUST HAVE experience creating content for various marketing channels, such as emails, newsletters, websites, social media, and fundraising materials. (Writing samples will be requested.) Self-starter with a track record of successful planning, execution, and follow-through. Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and accept coaching for growth. High level of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism. Familiarity with CRM and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), experience with WordPress or similar content management systems, basic video editing skills for social media content and familiarity with SEO principles and digital content strategy are strongly preferred. Knowledge of web and social media analytics is a plus.
