As a Communicable Disease Specialist within the Living Bridge at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting the lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways.
Location: The Living Bridge in Dalton, GA.
Job Responsibilities
Under general supervision, gathers, analyzes, and monitors data from multiple databases related to HIV patient health care and communicable disease information.
Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures implementation of timely disease intervention strategies to decrease the prevalence of such diseases.
Ensures that all data across the three-clinic health system is complete and accurate in multiple healthcare databases.
Ensures the data has the appropriate veracity and validity, for the purposes of measuring clinic performance.
Ensures that all collected data is usable and can be provided to outside staff for complex analysis and reports.
Performs other duties related to data collection and analysis as directed.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree from an accredited college or university AND two (2) years of experience in a related area.
OR
Four (4) years of experience in a medical-related field.
OR
Licensure as a registered nurse AND one (1) year of nursing experience.
OR
One (1) year of experience at the lower-level Communicable Disease Spec 1 (HCP080) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with data in the CAREWare system.
Experience working with data in the eClinicalWorks system.
Experience with data collection, manipulation, and analysis in a health care setting.
