Job Details

Responsibilities

* Support partners in all phases of commercial litigation: drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, trial prep, and courtroom appearances * Manage client relationships and communications, aiming to deliver strategic legal guidance * Research case law and statutes; prepare memoranda and briefs for trial and appellate courts * Contribute to internal case strategy discussions and settlement negotiations * Collaborate across practice groups (like real estate, corporate transactions, regulatory) to align litigation with broader business goals

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree + J.D. from accredited law school and admission to NC bar (or ability to obtain) * Minimum 3 years of litigation experience at a law firm or federal/state court setting * Demonstrated courtroom exposure and experience in civil litigation matters * Strong writing, analytical reasoning, and advocacy skills * Excellent client-facing abilities and collaborative mindset
