CNC Machinist – Contract-to-Hire | $25–$30/hr + Overtime | Custom Machine Manufacturing Location: Itasca, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM (OT up to 4:30 PM)
Compensation: $25–$30/hr + 20+ hrs/week of OT

With over a century of industry experience and recent project awards from major tech clients, this team is expanding fast—and investing in new talent, equipment, and shop space.

You’ll get to work with Mazak machines, hone your G-code editing skills, and contribute to a team that truly values precision, performance, and problem-solving.

20+ hours/week of overtime available (workdays start at 5–6 AM and go to 4:30 PM)

What You’ll Do: Set up, operate, and edit programs on CNC milling or turning machines (Mazak V550, V515, ATC40, SQT18)
Read and interpret complex engineering blueprints
Modify G-code and Mazatrol as needed for one-off and short-run jobs
Work in Cam Links to upload/download CNC programs
Optimize setups for surface feet per minute (SFPM) efficiency
Verify part tolerances and finishes, recommend process improvements
Perform preventative maintenance and maintain a clean work area
What You’ll Need: 3+ years of CNC machining experience (milling or turning)
Experience with Mazak machines and Mazatrol strongly preferred
Confidence editing G-code for part-specific adjustments
Comfortable in a high-mix, low-volume environment (OEM or custom shop a plus)
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specs
Willingness to work overtime and CTH flexibility
