Description: Agile5 Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Cloud Solution Architect to support a mission-critical FBI system by leading its migration to a cloud-based environment. This role will leverage expertise in both AWS and Azure, supporting our Agile DevSecOps contract by understanding customer needs to efficiently execute technical programs and deliver scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, operate independently, be a strong team player, and can establish solid working relationships with both technical staff and government customers.
Cloud Solution Architect Job Duties:
Maximize the architectural framework concept of microservices to enable autonomous application evolution within the FBI ecosystem.
Deliver system and infrastructure capabilities that are scalable, secure, and resilient.
Support cloud architecture across the AWS unclassified enclave (or other cloud service provider in the future), with a CI/CD pipeline to support deployment of services.
Utilize various CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab and GitLab Runner, and Artifactory.
Deploy and orchestrate Docker containers in a cloud environment.
Provide system platform management (Kubernetes) to include monitoring and troubleshooting of pre-production and production environments.
Apply experience with various air-gapped Government unclassified and classified AWS region (or other cloud service provider in the future) managed services, such as Simple Storage Service (S3), Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Relational Database Service (RDS), OpenSearch, DynamoDB, and Terraform.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents, ensuring backups are operating correctly, and ensuring cost optimization.
Monitor cloud environments to prevent unforeseen charges and ensure that AWS CloudWatch, or equivalent service, is activated, and billing alerts and alarms are enabled based on and triggered by government-defined metrics.
Organize, direct, and manage contract operation support functions, involving multiple, complex, and inter-related project tasks.
Migrate existing systems and ensure interoperability between Classic and Cloud versions throughout the migration timeframe.
Utilize experience with Azure DevOps 2022; Visual Studio 2022; Git for Windows; Kubernetes; Docker; Swagger; Keycloak; RabbitMQ; Linkerd; NGINX; Blazor; ElasticSearch or OpenSearch; .NET; C#; Javascript; and Java (with SpringBoot framework); Terraform.
Develop and maintain components in AWS, working with Linux, XML/XSD, and JSON.
Security Clearance Requirements: Active Secret (S) or higher clearance level required. Candidates must already possess this clearance level upon applying.
Experience Requirements: Requires 10+ years of prior relevant experience in cloud architecture and solution design. Candidates must have experience with both AWS and Azure cloud environments, including hands-on experience with managed services, CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform). Proven ability to manage contract operation support functions, migrate existing systems, and work with a range of technologies such as .NET, C#, JavaScript, and Java is essential. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively and independently to develop creative solutions within a small team environment and possess strong communication skills.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, other related discipline, or equivalent experience; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills / Qualifications: AWS Certified is highly preferred. An advanced degree in an IT related field is preferred. Experience with SAFe and ITIL is a plus. Experience in communications, cloud migration, and DevSecOps; hardware/software fabrication; Cloud, platform system integration; and/or test and evaluation is also desirable.
