Department/Unit: Coronary Care Unit - D2E Work Shift: Night Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20 The CCU is a dynamic 17-bed cardiac critical care unit equipped for advanced invasive monitoring. Our team cares for adult patients (18 and older) who are dealing with life-threatening cardiac conditions. As a valued member of our team, you will be responsible for continuous EKG monitoring and implementing emergency interventions according to the AHA-ACLS Guidelines in the absence of a physician. You will also care for patients with advanced cardiac devices including Impella ventricular assist devices, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, and Pulmonary Artery Catheters, among others. Successful CCU nurses will develop key skills to: Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document care in compliance with policies and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions. Assess patient needs and responses to care. Apply sound judgment in patient care management. Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses. Administer medications as prescribed. Collaborate with the nursing team to establish comprehensive care plans.
