Department/Unit: General Pediatrics - C7 Work Shift: Night Salary Range: $68,640.00 - $70,699.20 Join our dedicated team as a Clinical Nurse I, where you will play a vital role in fostering a supportive and compassionate environment for our patients and their families. Your contributions will greatly impact the success of our mission to provide exceptional pediatric care. Key Responsibilities: Efficiently implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, and document all care in accordance with policies and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to accurately assess and address patients' conditions. Continuously assess patient needs and evaluate responses to care provided. Utilize critical nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions. Provide immediate and primary care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer medications as ordered, following safe practices. Collaborate effectively with the nursing team to create and maintain a comprehensive Plan of Care for all patients. Guide and direct ancillary personnel, ensuring high standards of nursing practice are upheld. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from a professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained. A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time management skills are essential. Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques is advantageous for supporting departmental and patient care enhancements.
