Job Summary The Clinical Education Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs aimed at enhancing the quality of patient care and clinical outcomes. Collaborating closely with leadership and interdisciplinary teams, this role assesses learning needs to promote evidence-based practices and support continuous professional development. Serving as a mentor and primary resource for clinical staff, the Clinical Education Specialist ensures training initiatives align with both organizational objectives and industry standards. Essential Functions Collaborate with peers, staff, and administration to identify training needs and deliver tailored educational experiences. Plan and facilitate onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring effective integration into clinical teams. Maintain accurate records of clinical training and certification, ensuring documentation is accessible. Provide hands-on training, classroom instruction, and simulation learning to enhance clinical competencies. Stay informed about the latest trends in clinical practice and education, incorporating evidence-based standards into training programs. Demonstrate leadership qualities that promote teamwork and a collaborative environment. Act as a resource for nursing staff, offering expertise in best practices and professional development opportunities. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through feedback and measurable outcomes. Support student clinical rotation programs by coordinating and facilitating learning experiences. Perform additional duties as assigned and comply with all organizational policies. Qualifications 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience required 1-2 years of experience in healthcare education or training preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to engage adult learners effectively using diverse teaching strategies. Exemplifies professional behavior and promotes ethical practices within the workplace. Adapts smoothly to the evolving dynamics of healthcare. Exhibits strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities. Keeps current with clinical practices to ensure alignment of training programs with industry standards. Licenses and Certifications RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required BCLS - Basic Life Support required
