Client Service Specialist

VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital is hiring Client Service Specialists to join our supportive and dedicated team that focuses on quality patient care and excellent client service.

We are a dedicated team (more like family) that goes out of our way to make each other look good while delivering exceptional quality medicine for our patients with excellent customer service for their pet parents. We take pride in being an AAHA accredited cat only hospital.

We are focused on finding a part time "Client Service Specialist" to join our team of professionals and will consider a part time as well! You will have the advantage of working with a collaborative team while maintaining a work and quality of life balance.

As the face of VCA, the Client Service Specialist sets the tone for our practice as we build and maintain each customer's trust and confidence in our abilities.

The Client Service Specialist is the pivot around which the hospital operates and is responsible for:

  • Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms.
  • Excellent follow through
  • Liaison between the client and doctor
  • Excellent multi-tasking
  • Enjoys working with people and animals and it shows
  • Forward thinker, creative, and proactive
  • Can remain calm under pressure
  • Remains positive, professional and respectful
  • Scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients.
  • Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
  • Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions.
  • Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control).
  • Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
  • Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all timesboth inside and outside.
