$15.00/hour Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Our team trains children of missionaries during orientation and debriefing programs in Rockville, VA. We are looking for classroom assistants and substitutes to help us pour into our MKs! Student age range is infant through high school, and we try our best to pair you with the best age range fit for you. You may be needed for an entire program or as a daily substitute during the conference dates listed below. Schedule is an as-needed basis, with the following dates for 2025 and the 2026 calendar to follow:

Oct. 13 - 17, 2025 Oct. 27 - Dec 12, 2025

CURRENT NEEDS: Our current needs are for substitutes to fill in for teachers or assistants when they are out or unavailable, primarily in the preschool age classrooms.

Responsibilities include: Assist with various classroom activities (Bible stories/activities, cultural learning activities, recess, P.E., music, arts, etc.)

Assist teachers with classroom management

Assist students during lunch and snacks

Requirements: High school diploma or GED required

Previous teaching experience in any setting, from early education through high school, is preferred but not required. (This can include public or private school settings, daycare, Sunday School, VBS, etc.)

Overseas experience is a plus but not required.

Must be flexible to work with various age groups as needed.

Must be willing to have a very flexible work schedule.

Current or willing to get the TDAP and FLU vaccine to work in some classrooms.

Ability to lift and carry infants up to 20 pounds as needed

Physically able to lift and move young children safely, as well as navigate on and off the floor within a classroom setting.

Possess the stamina and agility to perform repetitive tasks such as squatting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
