Position Purpose: As a delivery driver, you are crucial to the nation's food supply chain. You ensure timely product delivery and foster lasting relationships with our customers, serving as the face of our company! Primary Responsibilities: Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring accurate and timely responses to inquiries. Work collaboratively as a team member, performing any assigned duties that benefit the company. Conduct all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) and inspections of the vehicle per DOT regulations. Report safety issues and required repairs promptly. Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies regarding safe driving. Inspect the trailer for properly loaded and secured freight. Perform counts and verify customer invoices of loaded products. Accurately complete all necessary paperwork related to freight. Navigate to loading docks, attach preloaded trailers as needed. Deliver customer orders according to a predetermined route schedule. Unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas. Perform damage control checks, scan items, and consult supervisors regarding company policy for order removals. Verify delivery with customers and obtain necessary signatures. Collect cash or checks where required, load customer returns, and secure trailer doors. Ensure that the tractor, trailer, and freight are always locked or secured correctly. Unload damaged goods and returns, and complete necessary paperwork. Maintain daily records of hours and submit logs according to federal, state, and company guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and general housekeeping of the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers as required. At the end of each shift, secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork. Perform other related duties as needed. Qualifications: Minimum of 12 months commercial driving experience. High school diploma/GED or equivalent. Valid Class A CDL. Meet all respective state licensing and certification requirements. Must be at least 21 years of age. Clean driving record for the past 3 years. Successfully pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check. Pass a road test. Hold a valid current DOT Health Card or secure one as needed. Able to hand-lift and use two-wheelers, lift gates, and other necessary equipment to move freight ranging from 10-90 pounds.
