JOB SUMMARY As a Delivery Truck Operator, you will be pivotal in safely transporting products from our warehouse to various customers, ensuring efficient delivery and unloading according to customer invoices and company standards. RESPONSIBILITIES: Unloads products from the trailer using hand carts or by hand in all weather conditions, placing them in designated customer storage areas as specified. Completes all paperwork accurately according to company and government guidelines, including DOT logs and vehicle maintenance reports. Ensures food safety protocols are met, maintaining proper temperatures and preventing cross-contamination. Builds strong relationships with customers through excellent service and communication. Assists with any additional duties assigned by management. REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma/GED/equivalent, and one year of tractor trailer driving experience preferred. Completion of a driving school can substitute for educational requirements. Ability to communicate in English, understanding traffic signs and making accurate entries on reports. CERTIFICATIONS AND/OR TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License. Must be insurable to operate a vehicle for ongoing employment. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: Knowledgeable in DOT regulations and safe delivery practices. Skilled in long-distance driving, customer communication, and problem-solving. Able to drive a tractor-trailer at all times of the day and night, meeting company productivity standards. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This role requires sitting, talking, and hearing. Regularly, the operator must lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 350 pounds with a hand cart. Climbing in and out of tractors and trailers is essential. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The associate may encounter wet, hot, extreme cold, and humid conditions, along with mechanical parts.
