Position Purpose: Food service delivery drivers fulfill an essential role in the food supply chain, ensuring customer products arrive safely and on time while building lasting customer relationships. Drivers are responsible for operating a tractor-trailer or straight truck for local, over-the-road (OTR), and shuttle routes, adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members. Participate as a team member and take on duties to best support the company. Conduct pre/post-trip inspections of vehicles to meet safety standards and DOT regulations. Report safety issues and needed repairs promptly. Adhere to all DOT guidelines and company safety policies. Perform inventory checks, load and unload products, and ensure secure transport. Verify customer delivery and obtain necessary signatures. Complete all required paperwork in a clear and accurate manner. Drive delivery routes according to the schedule. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle and work areas. After each shift, secure all equipment and finalize necessary paperwork. Perform additional tasks as assigned to support operations. Qualifications: 12+ months of commercial driving experience required. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Valid Class A CDL license. Comply with state licensing and certification requirements. Must be at least 21 years old. Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past three years. Must pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check. Pass a road test. Hold a valid DOT Health Card or be able to obtain one. Able to lift and move product cases weighing between 10-90 pounds throughout the shift.
