Delivering comprehensive care to children with disabilities or injuries is a vital role in pediatric rehabilitation nursing. As a skilled and compassionate nurse, you will assess patient needs, create personalized treatment plans, manage pain, administer medications, and support the rehabilitation of mobility. The Pediatric Rehabilitation Nurse plays a crucial part in ensuring optimal physical, emotional, and developmental outcomes for pediatric patients. This position involves working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide education to caregivers and promote long-term care and recovery. Key Responsibilities: Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients. Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assess learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.
