YWCA Central Maine is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and stand up for social justice, help families, and strengthen communities. YWCA Central Maine has been in the Lewiston-Auburn community since 1878 and was originally founded out of concern about the living conditions, educational, and childcare needs among young women and girls. From addressing food insecurity, childcare services, aquatics programs at the community’s only public pool, to programs that address issues that pervade our community and daily lives, YWCA Central Maine offers services and programs that reflect the needs of our local community.
If you are passionate about eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all, we want you on our team!
