The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who provides anesthesia care across a wide range of procedures and patient populations. CRNAs assess patients, develop and implement anesthesia plans, administer anesthesia, and monitor patient responses during and after procedures to ensure safety and comfort. They work independently or as part of an anesthesia care team in surgical, procedural, and critical care settings.
