SUMMARY The Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) works with people who experience serious mental illness and acts as a role model of recovery. CPS provides group and/or individual training and counseling, as well as service coordination, support for community linkage, and advocacy support to meet individual needs. Assists with completion of Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP). May work in a clinic, peer program, or community setting.
QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Bachelor’s preferred.
Certification as Peer Specialist through the Georgia DBHDD/Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network is required
