The Certified Peer Specialist will work collaboratively with clients, offering hope, encouragement, and practical strategies to promote wellness and recovery.
*Duties*
* Provide one-on-one support to individuals in recovery, fostering a trusting relationship based on shared experiences. * Facilitate group sessions focused on recovery topics, sharing personal insights and coping strategies. * Assist clients in developing personalized recovery plans that align with their goals and aspirations. * Employ crisis management techniques to support clients during challenging situations. * Collaborate with mental health professionals and community resources to ensure comprehensive care for clients. * Offer mentoring and guidance to promote self-advocacy and empowerment among clients. * Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavioral changes. * Document client progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with organizational policies.

* Strong background in crisis intervention and management, ensuring effective support during emergencies. * Experience in addiction counseling, providing insight into the recovery process for those facing substance use challenges. * Proficient in mentoring techniques, helping clients build resilience and self-efficacy. * Knowledge of social work principles, enhancing the ability to connect clients with necessary community resources. * Familiarity with mental health counseling practices, promoting holistic approaches to wellness. * Understanding of behavioral health systems, facilitating navigation through various treatment options. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with clients and team members. * Ability to create a supportive environment that fosters trust and openness among clients.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week
