Liberty Healthcare seeks a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) dedicated to providing high-quality care to our clients within our comprehensive healthcare services. In this role, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help patients develop, recover, improve, and maintain the skills needed for daily living and working. Assist the Occupational Therapist in evaluating patients' abilities and needs, and contribute to treatment planning and patient reports. Implement therapeutic plans and interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, focusing on improving patient outcomes. Help patients develop or regain physical or mental functioning to enhance quality of life, using various therapies to reduce pain, improve mobility, and prevent disability. Educate patients and family members about treatment plans and maintenance exercises. Maintain records of patient therapy and progress, providing timely updates to the supervising Occupational Therapist. Ensure all treatments are safe and in compliance with predetermined protocols and safety guidelines. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and align on patient care plans. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to follow detailed instructions. Excellent observational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using therapeutic equipment and software. Knowledge of safety and prevention techniques in occupational therapy.
