Liberty Healthcare seeks a compassionate and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our multidisciplinary team to assist patients in overcoming health-related challenges with a focus on enriching their quality of life. This role involves working under the supervision of an occupational therapist to implement therapeutic plans and monitor progress in a variety of healthcare settings. Assist the occupational therapist in evaluating the patients' medical conditions, disabilities, or injuries to determine their needs. Implement treatment plans devised by the occupational therapist, focusing on activities that are specific to the patient's abilities and needs. Document patient's progress and adjust treatments as necessary to ensure maximum benefit. Educate patients and their families about healthcare plans and maintenance at home. Maintain patient records, ensuring privacy and confidentiality, and updating them according to regulatory requirements. Ensure treatment areas are prepared, maintaining equipment and supplies, and adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
