The Correctional Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within correctional facilities. *Responsibilities*

* Monitor inmate activities and behavior to ensure compliance with facility regulations. * Conduct regular inspections of the facility, including the use of CCTV systems to maintain security. * Respond to emergencies and incidents, providing first aid and CPR as necessary. * Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining order within the facility. * Prepare detailed reports on incidents, inmate behavior, and daily activities. * Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed for investigations or emergencies. * Participate in training programs to enhance skills in conflict management and security protocols. * Maintain effective communication with fellow officers and facility staff to promote a safe working environment.

*Qualifications*

* Previous experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is preferred. * Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is essential. * Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively. * Proficient report writing skills for documentation of incidents and daily activities. * Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle stressful situations calmly. * Must pass background checks and any required training programs prior to employment. Expected hours: 84 per week
