This is followed by five weeks of over-the-road (OTR) training with a Driver Trainer (four weeks if you have an Automatic Transmission restriction on your Class A CDL). We prioritize home time, aiming to pair you with a trainer who lives within 150 miles of your home so you can spend weekends with loved ones. During the first 7 days (Monday-Sunday), you will engage in classroom learning and hands-on load securement training. The next 5 days (Monday-Friday) will focus on equipment familiarization, allowing you to get comfortable operating our trucks and trailers before starting OTR training with your Trainer. As an apprentice, you will earn $650 per week during your orientation and OTR training period with a certified flatbed driver trainer!
