Essential Job Functions: Your main responsibility will be operating Front, Side, or Rear-Loading Trucks for pick-up services of waste or recyclable materials, ensuring safe transportation to disposal, transfer, or recycling facilities. You will make multiple trips as needed throughout your shift. The role may involve operating both manual and automatic trucks. You may need to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and maneuver up to 100 pounds, along with getting in and out of the truck multiple times during each route. Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States. Valid Class A or B CDL with Airbrake Endorsement. At least 1-year experience driving a CDL within the last 7 years. Must have a clean driving record and great safety history. Experience in a waste management role is preferred. Knowledgeable about DOT, OSHA, and traffic regulations. Ability to converse in English for communication with the public and understand traffic signals. Must be able to read maps and understand directions. Must meet all physical and safety requirements of the role. Willingness to work hours as permitted under DOT regulations, including weekends and holidays if necessary. Additional Job Details: Routes may involve navigating congested areas and narrow streets. Excellent backing skills are essential for this job. Regularly climb in and out of the truck cab to service accounts.
