Join our team as a Full-time Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular ICU!
We are looking for dedicated RNs to provide exceptional care in our CVICU, which caters to patients recovering from cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgeries. With 22 ICU beds, our unit sees a range of challenging cases, including:
Post-surgical patients (CABG, valve replacements, thoracotomies, and more)
Heart failure management
Patients on advanced devices like LVAD and ECMO (VV and VA)
Shift Details: Full-time, Days 5a-5p, Every Other Weekend

Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and positive patient outcomes, creating an environment of support and compassion for patients and their families.
Essential Functions:
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in line with organizational protocols.
Conduct thorough assessments, document findings, and report changes in patient conditions.
Administer medications and monitor for side effects, ensuring patient safety.
Assist physicians during procedures and collaborate with the healthcare team on care plans.
Respond to medical emergencies and participate in life-saving interventions.
Advocate for patients’ rights and educate patients and families about care plans.
Implement infection control protocols and monitor medical equipment for safety.
Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role, or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of the nursing process and clinical practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
Proficient in medication administration and monitoring.
Attention to detail in documentation and adherence to safety standards.
Licenses and Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure required.
Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
