Location: On-site
Compensation: $48,000 – $66,000 + Relocation Assistance + Full Benefits

About the Role

A leading global manufacturer is seeking a Business Planning Administrator to join their team in New Castle, IN. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting business planning and performance tracking efforts through high-level data analysis, cost calculations, and reporting, using tools like Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and the ability to support both strategic and operational decision-making.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and gain exposure to corporate planning, cost analysis, and business performance tracking. Candidates with experience in a Japanese corporate environment or those fluent in Japanese will be especially valuable, though bilingual skills are preferred, not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business planning processes with in-depth data management and cost-tracking activities

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations for business planning meetings

  • Analyze variances and financial metrics using Excel models

  • Utilize frameworks such as PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and 5P analysis to identify issues and suggest improvements

  • Provide occasional translation or communication support for Japanese-English documentation (if bilingual)

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments and assist in strategic planning initiatives

  • Assist the Business Planning Manager with monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, formulas, modeling)

  • Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint for business presentations

  • Working knowledge of PDCA cycle and 5P problem-solving methodology

Preferred Skills

  • Bilingual – Japanese/English: Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency

  • Background in cost accounting, financial analysis, or business planning

  • Experience in a Japanese business environment

  • Exposure to Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing principles

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure manufacturing setting
