We seek a Business Development & Growth Partner who is a strategic closer with deep lending instincts, enterprise sales experience, and the desire to build meaningful relationships with business owners ranging from $3M restaurant groups to $30M fitness chains. Responsibilities
Own the full sales cycle: identify prospects, create outbound campaigns, pitch, close, and drive “land and expand” strategies.
Drive Revenue Growth: Source and close $3–$5M+ in annual deal volume by partnering with high-performing, multi-unit operators across various industries.
Build a High-Quality Pipeline: Develop and manage a strong network of franchisors, brokers, landlords, and multi-location business owners within your territory.
Represent the Brand: Attend industry conferences, market visits, and in-person events to increase brand visibility and expand your professional network.
Advance Deals with Precision: Partner closely with underwriting and investor teams to guide opportunities through the deal funnel with speed and accuracy.
Act as a Trusted Advisor: Use your knowledge of lending products (e.g., SBA, MCA, RBF) to build trust with business owners and support informed capital decisions.
Collaborate with Leadership: Work directly with the CEO and COO to influence go-to-market strategy, prioritize target markets, and drive vertical-specific growth.
Shape the Future of BD: Contribute to the ongoing development of our business development playbook, helping scale and professionalize the team as we grow.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
Proven Experience: 5+ years of demonstrated success in enterprise sales or financial services, with a strong background in selling B2B SaaS, lending, or investment products to mid-market and enterprise-level clients.
Complex Sales Expertise: Skilled in managing multi-step sales cycles that involve senior executives, cross-functional stakeholders, and financial decision-makers.
Strategic Relationship Builder: Adept at developing partnerships, launching new markets, and leveraging networks, particularly within franchising, food & beverage, fitness, wellness, or service-based industries.
Startup-Minded: Thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments where autonomy, adaptability, and results are prioritized over rigid processes.
Preferred
Experience in lending or capital markets (e.g., SBA, MCA, ABL, CRE, RBF) or with an investment-related firm, with a strong understanding of how deal structures impact small business operations and growth.
Proficient in reading and interpreting financial statements, with the ability to communicate effectively with business owners using clear, financially informed language.
