Our Business Analyst team fulfills a wide variety of functions, and we need people who are curious, tenacious and fungible. You could be involved in process improvement initiatives, software selection and implementation, supporting our current business applications, performing analysis using SQL, or helping to lead small to medium-sized projects. The BA team is highly collaborative and supportive, and we have great business operational partners.Responsibilities•Develop an understanding of business applications, workflows, processes, needs, and constraints •Execute opportunities to drive efficiencies in the use of resources (people, process, and technology)•Partner with Product Owners, Team Coaches, business stakeholders, and technical team members to understand business objectives and identify potential process improvements.•Conduct ad-hoc data analysis as requested by team members and/or business stakeholders to assist in requirements gathering or defect resolution•Support the roll out of new products and product enhancements using configuration utilities and SQL scripts. •Triage root cause of defects impeding application functionality•Collaborate with technical teams to ensure that system designs meet business requirements •Ability to elicit detailed requirements and create proof of concepts to demonstrate solutions •Serve as a subject matter expert to advise on how applications may be impacted by enterprise-wide initiatives•Work closely with product owners on complex projects for assigned products or applications •Serve as a primary contact point for questions related to how a product, solution, or technology supports or enables work activities in a business process •Maintain solutions in production, working with end users, and facilitating change requests through a defined change management process •Support testing, production readiness verification and ensure accuracy after deployments •Develop documentation and training materials•Participate in the selection and implementation of third-party software solutionsMinimum Requirements•Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, technology or related field preferred •Collaboration, customer focus, and innovation skills•Analytical problem solver who can identify, analyze, and resolve issues •Ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives•Flexibility to shift focus on changing priorities•Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries •Experience with relational databases Nonessential requirements •Insurance industry experience, especially property/casualty•Experience with 3rd party software implementation•Familiarity with different AI tools such as ChatGPT and CoPilot•Familiarity with CCM (customer communication management) solutions •Experience with JSON •Experience with PythonAt Kinsale we offer the following great benefits:•Competitive salary with performance-based bonus opportunities•Single and Family Health, Dental and Vision Insurance plans with HSA funds contributed•Short-Term and Long-Term disability•Life Insurance•Matching 401(k) •Generous Paid Time Off and Holidays•Education dollars for training and certifications•Promotion from within the company with clear goals and developed career pathsKinsale values strong financial responsibility.
