Were hiring for our Before and/or After School Program for the 2025 2026 school year at Preston Veterans Memorial School in Preston, CT.

JOB STATUS: Part-time, non-exempt POSITIONS OPEN: Substitutes, Assistants, Supervisors, and Directors PAY: $16.35 per hour (varies based on position, experience, and qualifications)

What Our After-School Team Does:

Lead fun, hands-on activities inspired by our Healthy Kids Curriculum, featuring everything from physical fitness and STEAM projects to academic support, creative arts, and more. Dont forget homework help is part of the adventure! Foster a safe, healthy, and engaging environment where kids can grow, learn, and have fun. Be that inspiring role model theyll remember every day. Communicate with families and caregivers using the Playground App sharing updates and capturing those cant-miss moments. Stay up-to-date and in compliance by following state regulations, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and all school-specific guidelines. Some positions will also involve leadership responsibilities such as managing attendance logs, supporting registration efforts, and helping maintain proper staff coverage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Youre at least 18 years old and have earned a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience working with children under 13 is a plus but not required. Were happy to train enthusiastic, motivated individuals! Youre medically cleared to handle all physical aspects of the job and are free from communicable illnesses, including TB. Youre outgoing, approachable, and a great communicator whether youre working with kids, families, or colleagues. Dependability and professionalism are a must. Youre physically capable of bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 lbs. ready to keep up with energetic kids all day long!
